Citizen Advocacy of Ottawa Donor Bill of Rights
A Citizen Advocacy donor has the right to:
- Be informed of Citizen Advocacy of Ottawa's mission, of the way the organization intends to use donated resources, and of its capacity to use donations effectively for their intended purposes.
- Be informed of the identity of those serving on Citizen Advocacy of Ottawa's governing board, and to expect the board to exercise prudent judgment in its stewardship responsibilities.
- Have access to the organization's most recent audited financial statements.
- Be assured your gifts will be used for the purposes for which they were given.
- Receive acknowledgement and recognition.
- Be assured that information about your donation is handled with respect and with confidentiality to the extent provided by law. Citizen Advocacy does not sell, trade or borrow lists.
- Professional and courteous treatment by Citizen Advocacy of Ottawa representatives.
- A clear explanation of the relationship between the person soliciting donations and Citizen Advocacy of Ottawa.
- Receive prompt, truthful and complete answers to any questions you have about contributions to Citizen Advocacy of Ottawa.
