November 4, 2002, Ottawa Sun: Volunteer advocates bring fun, friendship to disabled. At age 27, Nancy Villeneuve's life changed forever when a drunk driver sped through a red light, hitting the vehicle she was in. Villeneuve, who had just graduated from nursing school the previous year, went from being a nurse at the Ottawa hospital to being a patient. Read the story.
