July 13, 2003, Ottawa Citizen: HOPE Volleyball BeachFest. This year marked the first year that wheelchair volleyball was included in the tournament. Four teams of 10 people played on a tennis court, 30 metres from the beach. The Wheelchair Division was suggested and coordinated by Citizen Advocacy. Read the article.

January 24, 2003, Barrhaven Independent: Citizen Advocacy in local community. When a drunk driver speeding through a red light struck the vehicle she was riding in, Nancy Villeneuve went from being a nurse at the Ottawa Civic Hospital to being a patient. More than a dozen surgeries and 34 years later, Ms. Villeneuve is doing well and proud to have a new friend in fellow Barrhaven resident Elsbeth Fallack. Read the story.
