Meet Mary. At 85 years old, she needed help. Her children wanted her out of the Gloucester house they shared. Even though she had disabilities and needed their support, her children stopped talking to her and providing her with meals. They also tried to prove that she was incompetent (which she certainly wasn't).
Thankfully, Citizen Advocacy matched Mary with Gladys, a volunteer advocate who could read Mary's mail and legal papers to her, be there for moral support, and stand by her throughout the process. When Mary's children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren ignored her on her birthday, Gladys brought a cake to make Mary's day brighter.
